Patented Design

This cross section view describes a typical Paragon fuel transfer pump. An external gear set—directly driven by the motor shaft—provides fuel flow. The motor is a 3-phase AC induction motor, controlled by a DC/AC power inverter.

Paragon Products’ patented induction motor-driven gear pump technology provides the very best total cost of ownership. Our fuel transfer pumps are designed for a 10-year service life with no maintenance under normal service conditions. This durable design eliminates all of the most common modes of failure. There are no dynamic seals, greased bearings, or motor brushes to wear out.

Mechanical wear is minimized due to our hardened pump body, gears, and ball bearings (hardened steel or hybrid). These fuel transfer pumps have excellent self-priming capabilities, and performance remains constant throughout the life of the pump.

Paragon Products produces extremely rugged diesel feed pumps that surpass the reliability of all other diesel pumps when subjected to tough environments and the likelihood of contaminated fuels. These pumps feature an integral, fluid-cooled DC/AC inverter to control our highly reliable AC induction motor. This durable design eliminates all of the most common failure modes. There are no dynamic seals, greased bearings, or motor brushes to fail. Wear is negligible due to our hardened pump body, gears, and ceramic bearings. Performance remains constant for the life of the pump, and it has excellent priming capabilities.
